Overview

FSSAI License or food license is compulsory to work in any food business in India. The validity of food license is between 1-5 years; you have to renew the license upon expiry, or there's a fine if the license is not extended. FSSAI Renewal process should be completed 120 days before the FSSAI Registration or License expiry date.

A Registration or food license issued under these Regulations shall be valid for a period of 1 - 5 years as selected by the Food Business Operator, from the date of issue of registration or license subject to the compensation of the fee applicable for that duration and accordance with all conditions of the license unless otherwise specified.

Types of FSSAI License Renewal

As once you make, there are three different kinds of fssai License. FSSAI Renewal likewise has three types, which are Basic FSSAI license, State FSSAI license, and Central FSSAI License. • State FSSAI License Renewal

  State FSSAI License Renewal or "FSSAI License Renewal Form B" is valid for all the food business operators that fall under State license criteria( between 12 lakhs - 20 crores turnover). The food license renewal fees entirely depend on these two criteria:

  1. Type of Food Business ( Restaurant or producer or some other business)
  2. License Renewal validity ( between 1 to 5 years). Food License renewal government Fees for one year could be Rs 2000 or 3000 or 5000, depending on the type of food business.

• Central FSSAI License Renewal

  Central FSSAI License Renewal or "FSSAI License Renewal Form C" is valid for all the food business operators that fall under Central license criteria (above 20 crore turnover/ importer-exporter/ Operating in multiple states, counties) Government Fees for FSSAI Central License renewal is 7500/year.
